A 40-room Italianate villa, designed in 1851 by Alexander
Jackson Davis, is the highlight of the 200 acre Locust Grove
Estate. The mansion was preserved as a museum by the
Hudson Valley's prominent Young family who furnished the
house with a spectacular collection of Hudson River School
paintings, and 18th and 19th-century American furniture and
decorative arts. Don't miss the perennial gardens, Carriage
House museum, and Hudson River views.
