Curious Objects guest Kay Collier, who is the owner of Kathryn Hastings and Company, talks to host Ben Miller about her business designing and selling antique epistolary supplies and customized wax seals, plus her collection and her passion for using antiques as they were meant to be used.
Kathryn Hastings is Kay Collier’s artist name. Collier studied art history and German literature at Colorado College, and has a strong background in calligraphy, epistolary arts, and painting, with a focus on oil and watercolor. An ardent antique collector, she focuses her artistic process on the use of antique tools, which are becoming increasingly rare. Collier also has four years of wedding planning experience and about ten in sales and marketing.
