We’re now on the far west side of Midtown Manhattan, the neighborhood where two of New York’s great fictional characters resided: Nero Wolfe, the ingenious, orchidfancying, and largely housebound private detective, and his much more dynamic legman and chronicler, Archie Goodwin.
